Arktion was founded on the Autumnal Equinox of 1990. Since then it has grown dramatically to offer a wide range of spiritual teaching, practices, skills, facilities and events. It members, priests/priestesses, students, volunteers, congregationists and readers are found in: England, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Poland, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. They are from all walks of life, backgrounds, ages, interests. But we are especially proud of the fact that a high percentage are young people age 16-25- this represents a great hope for the future of our species and the healing of our Starship Earth. We hope you will join them! Arktion represents the hidden tradition of the spiritual aspiration of all folk which has inspired our species since the dawn of time: the sacred "pole" from Earth to Stars (source to future). Such images across human history as Yggdrasil, Irminsul,and the Pyramid intimate this hope and destiny. It therefore combines the dynamic elements of all the esoteric and exoteric realms and is a vitalising harmony of the bi-polar forces for the manifesting of potential and the natural unfolding of life and matter. Arktion has its roots in the pan-European traditions and thus embraces and is actively developing the spiritual inheritance of: the Celtic, Norse/Germanic (Northern Tradition), Finno-Ugric, Graeco-Roman, Anglo-Saxon, Slavic etc. But its roots go far back into time to the spiritual genesis of homo sapiens: to Albion, Hyperborea, Thule, and to the Atlantean and Ivernian spirituality of our ancestors. But no matter what your race, language or culture you are most weclome. For we are far beyond labels, prejudices and stereotypes. We offer you the spiritual elixir of the Aeons! THE PAN-PAGAN ARCHIVES: You may have heard of the Great Library Alexandria (the wonder of the Graeco-Roman world), and that of Pergamon, of the legendary library of the Egyptians at Heliopplis, and the mythical library of the prehistoric Egyptians said to contain the secrets of Atlantis itself. All these treasures house of human wisdom, attainemnt, discovery, skill and learning have vanished from the face of the Earth due to the perfidy and intolerance of the Dark Age of man. However a New Age is emerging and so a new library is neded. The European Library started in 1992 to aid the beginnings of that process.It is a library encompassing the totality of Pagan European civilisation, lore,traditions, heritage, esoteric and cultural scienecs . It now has over 8,500 items and is now by about 300 a month. It is part of the spiritual work of Arktion Church to provide a focus and forum for all that mankind posssess to aid his spiritual journey forward forward.But you do not have to be a Pagan or a member of Arktion Church or OJB etc to use the Library. There is a separate Library membership which grants you access to it.(For membership details please e-mail us- heritage.centre@ntlworld.com) The Archives therefore includes the corpus of many scholars, authors, organisations, groups, from past and present. Also, over 53 publishers donate their material. It is an archive, a teaching centre, and research base, a reference matrix. It is part of our work to aid the unfolidng of the consciousness and spirtuality of man to help fulfil his evolutionary destiny. |
Paganism is not a new religion. It is the timeless spiritual inheritance of humanity and is manifest in many forms according to the imperatives of Mother Nature herself- the reality of biodiversty and ecology extend to mankind's cultural and spiritual evolution also. |

Ever since man first looked up to the stars and became aware of his own consciousness and noticed the rhythm of life and the seasons Paganism has been the spiritual indicator of his higher self and his destiny. That destiny carries power and responsibility. Paganism is a "natural" religion: that is it is Earth based, works with Nature harmoniously and is based on facts, on observation, rational enquiry, yet also on faith since it recognises that there is more to our own individuality and own own lives and that there is more to existence than our current 'primitive' state of evolution at present can comprehend. Arktion therefore recognises that mankind can be likened to a new born babe that is beginning his path of growth - what will his career and destiny be? Paganism does not attack any other religion. It does not believe in any 'heresy'. It is content within itself and believes in the spiritual, ethnic, cultural and linguistic diversity of Homo Sapiens. It believes that no one religion has all the answers but that each people/civilisation/race/culture expresses an aspect of the divine totality when existing in it's "natural" state. Each people has the right to its own unique heritage, native faith, religion etc expressing an aspect of the Eternal Oneness that is beyond all knowing and expressed in the cycles of time. Therefore religious racial, and cultural persecution/ repression/intolerence are abhorent to Paganism and to Arktion. Arktion manifests this natural diversity and has begun to restore the essence of the various spiritual traditions and cultures of Pan-Europa. Yet each tradition is kept intact, special, unique and vibrant. With our unique resources and teaching you can tap into your own roots and thence bring alive your own spirituality without narrow revivalism and territorialism. Think of us as a 'spiritual university' to give rebirth to your soul. |
